Mum’s Job
Why I Love this Wedding Photograph
From a Wedding at The Rosevine, Devon
For today's feature image, I am taking you back to 2013 and a wonderful wedding at The Rosevine, Cornwall.
I've been photographing weddings full time for 13 years now, and I love digging into the archives and revisiting some of my favourite documentary wedding photography images from the past.
This image always reminds me of this lovely wedding at The Rosevine, a beutiful hotel right on the beach.
Mum has many roles at a wedding. Of course, she is there to offer support, look marvellous, hold hands and wipe tears.
But she's often also tasked with opening the champagne during the pre-wedding festivities.
I love this wedding photograph on so many levels. The extreme effort on mums face (she managed it in the end) and the split composition make this one of my all-time favourites from this wedding.
I hope you like it too.
